We stayed the night with my cousin, Doyle, and his family in Kansas City.
In the morning, we went to the Independence, MO Visitor's Center.
This is an original copy of the Book of Mormon.
This is the site Joseph Smith dedicated for the temple . . . which is still yet to be built. Our Church does not own this land right now.
We attended church at the chapel next door to the visitor's center. It was a predominantly Polynesian ward and they had recently had a wedding so most of them were wearing leis. I was given this lei from one of the ward members.
