After spending the night in Rock Springs, Wyoming, we got back on the road toward South Dakota. We decided to stop at Martin's Cove. It was one of the stops along the historic handcart trail, where tragedy struck the Martin Handcart company as winter hit them early.
They had a bunch of handcarts and a small trail for the kids to pull along.
It was bitterly cold and SUPER WINDY despite it being mid-June. We were told is typically this windy year-round. I don't think I could live in windy Wyoming. WOW. The wind was so strong it nearly blew us off the road as we were driving through.
