We attended a session this morning, while Joseph babysat. It was inspiring!

We enjoyed our first oxen ride. It was quite bumpy. We learned that oxen are just cows that have been altered . . . which makes them pack on the weight and muscle to be real working animals.

The missionaries were a hoot!

We stopped by the brickyard.

We attended a children's show, which began with a puppet show.

Aleya was selected to participate in the end.

I wondered where they boys had gone . . . "Hey, mom! Look at us!"

Our last stop in Nauvoo was at the Brigham Young home.

Some of this china actually belonged to Brigham Young. It was found hidden in the well in the yard.

Good bye, Nauvoo! Until we return again! We set off on the road again, taking an alternate route to avoid another dangerous storm. We were supposed to drive through Chicago area, but they were expecting Tornadoes. We literally skirted the edge of the storm, driving through the middle of Ohio, instead. We were VERY late getting to our hotel (about 1:30AM), but at least we were safe!
