At the Jefferson Memorial

 On our way to Utah, we stopped at the St. Louis Arch.  We had driven by several times, but this was the first time we stopped.

 It is a large and very impressive structure.  The coolest discovery was that the museum is underground.  It was around 115 degrees and humid when we stopped.  Note to self: do not live here.

 After sweating buckets while standing in line to get into the museum, we finally found the A/C! Phew!

 It was a very nice museum and had interactive displays for the children.

 This is an example of the elevator that will take you to the top.  The lines were about 2 hours long on both sides, so we skipped it this time.

Most of us enjoyed this roadside stop.

Crazy Cat

Coon has begun dragging doll clothes around the house in his mouth and then dropping them in a trail-like form on the way to the master bedroom.  Crazy cat.

Camp Woodruff Scout Camp

This year's Scout Camp was at Camp Woodruff in Georgia.

It was a widespread Camp Area.

 The property was very scenic.

  Meetings were held in this amphitheater each evening.

A bee stung Orrin on his lip, just before they started the evening ceremony.

 

 Our boys both earned the Archery Merit Badge.
 

Christian came up to Scout Camp with Orrin for three days and had a great time.

Orrin and the other 11-12 year-olds participated in the Mountain Man course.

Our Troop participated in a whitewater rafting trip on Tuesday.

This was the highlight of the Scout Camp.

Christian was having a blast!

Orrin was knocked out of the boat a few times, but he was fine.

Angie's Wedding

 I (Andrea) flew up to Philadelphia for her step sister's wedding.

 It was a lovely day and not too hot or humid.

We ate at a famous Philly Cheesesteak Place.  It was so/so.

We did more sight-seeing and a walking audio tour around Philadelphia.  
We saw the Liberty Bell.

We also took a tour of Independence Hall.

The next day was the big day.  Here we are waiting for the ceremony.

 The weather was perfect and mild.  It was a lovely reception and it was a wonderful trip.
