We found the Badlands weren't so bad, after all.
There are certainly some interesting rock formations.
Aleya was already exhausted from our first leg of the roadtrip and missed most of the Badlands.
The ground there was kind of squishy and crumbly. A weird rock and dirt surface. Amara didn't really have the proper climbing shoes, but that didn't stop her from trying.
It kind of looks like the surface of the moon.
The kids got right to work . . . exploring.

It really DOES look like you are walking on the moon.
We had a fun time exploring. Christian had to go and rescue a couple of the kids, who couldn't safely find there way back down from the top.
