Elder Boyd K. Packer bronzed this statue, himself and also redesigned the Visitor's Center.
It was quite a feat back in 1905 to get the granite monument in place.

This is a very serene and peaceful place by itself, but they also have outdoor music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir to really invite the Spirit to the area.
About 30 minutes from Sharon, in Lebanon, VT, is the site of the Smith's 2nd home, where Joseph Smith had leg surgery. There is now a KFC/Taco Bell on the site. The kids had dinner here.
