This is the Peter Whitmer home where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized in 1830.
The Church was organized in this room where about 30 people were present.
Joseph and Emma lived up here on the 2nd level for a short time.
Our family had a testimony meeting together where we each shared our testimonies of our Lord Jesus Christ, his prophet, Joseph Smith, and of the true church being restored to earth--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
