Besides surfers, who in their right mind goes to the beach in San Diego in November? BRRRRRRRRRRR! Well, we're willing to sacrifice for family visiting from Utah. Amara and Oselle got right to work collecting seashells.
The beaches were pretty barren. It was also low tide, so the wet sand created a cool reflective mirror effect.
Aunt Mercedes took a long, LONG, walk down the beach. She used to live by the beach in Spain and missed it very much.
It was cool having the beach all to ourselves. The girls preferred running on the beach to going into the frigid water.
The girls like playing in the sand and building castles. Notice what's going on behind them? The boys are digging holes into the hillside. Girls build castles. Boys dig holes.
The boys figured out how to sand-surf down the hills. It quickly caught on with all the kids. On your mark, get set . . .GO!

Jordan and Mercedes couldn't wipe the grins off their face. It was a fun beach trip!
