We planned another Saturday at our favorite family beach : Moonlight Beach in Encinitas.
It was a beautiful sunny day, but never terribly warm at the SoCal beaches. It was in the high 70s, at best.
Aleya wasted no time in drenching hersef in the surf. I'm so glad she's overcome her fears of the ocean.
We found a family along the beach who painstakingly made this awesome shark sand sculpture. We are not this cool.
Unfortunately, they made it too close to the water, so they attempted to creat a sand wall and ditch around the shark sculpture to protect it. Orrin and Amara did their best to help in the effort.
Sadly, the tides won the battle. The kids who watched all the liquid carnage had a fun time adding to the destruction and finished the job.
Joseph and Orrin caught some wicked waves with their body boards. The waves were pretty tumultuous today. We had another fun day at the beach.
