Amara's Dance Recital

Amara has been taking dance from the Best Foot Forward Studio for 2 years now (both tap and ballet) and just had her 2nd recital on March 15th. She danced ballet to the song, "Every Girl Can Be a Princess," with her class. She did a fabulous job with a beautiful smile on her face.


Amara also had the fun opportunity to dance with her dad in the song, "A Whole New World," from Aladdin. Daddy was Aladdin and Amara was Jasmine. They also did a terrific job!

Orrin's Baptism

Orrin was lucky to get baptized and confirmed on his birthday. That will be easy to remember! Grandpa and Grandma Yates came to visit for this special occasion. Grandpa and Grandma Capener are on a mission in Texas, so they were unable to make it.


The services were at 5PM at our Stake Building. Brother Howard Cottam gave a wonderful talk about baptism and confirmation and involved all the kids. Orrin couldn't contain his enthusiasm and blurted something out on his way down into the water. Sigh! We really did teach him how to be reverent. Maybe it will sink in someday.

Amara's first day of school

Schooltime again! I both love and dread this moment. I love to have a break in the day to complete home responsibilities, tasks, and projects, as well as weekly errands, but I dread the deadlines of getting kids to school on time, picking them up on time, and helping the kids get their homework and school projects done on time.

This is Amara's first day of Kindergarten. She has Mr. Perez, just like Orrin did. She is so excited!!! She has been asking about this moment since she had her Kindergarten assessment last April. My response each time was, "No, not yet." Now I finally told her that, "Today is it!"



















Of course I had to get all the photos of the kids with their new school clothes and backpacks and such. It is always painful, but worth it.
