Move-out. Too traumatic for pictures?

So, I didn't take ANY pictures of all the boxes and the movers and the moving truck. I guess it was too traumatic to remember. Moving out was more difficult this time than we have ever experienced. There was so much leftover trash and garbage that a super nice friend carted off for us in multiple trips, using his spare trash cans. He helped us disassemble all the big stuff and helped touch up the stain on the cabinets in the kitchen. We had so many ward members help us. We could not have finished up without their help . . . or at least it would have taken us several more days to get out.

My daughter, Aleya, did get our camera afterwards and snapped some funny photos showing the empty house.

Haley entertained Aleya, while her mom and I scrubbed down the house.

Jacksonville House-Hunting

Should it be house #1?

Or house #2?

We knew we wanted to live in Eagle Harbor. We looked at six or seven homes in this neighborhood and three or four in the FI Plantation neighborhood.

We were worried about the small lake/pond in the backyard of house #2.

We really liked the screened porch on house #2.

The backyard view was quite lovely.

The sunset on Doctor's Lake was heavenly and so near house #1 we could walk to it.

Ultimately, as the sun set on our house-hunting adventure . . . it was house #2 that felt the best.

Aleya's 4th Birthday

Aleya is 4 years old now. We first had a family party for her.

It's not quite a cake, but still cute.

Aleya has never had a "friend" birthday party, so I decided to have a surprise party for her at dance class.

The girls all decorated cupcakes.

Aleya said, "This is the BEST birthday party EVER!"

It was a quick party, but perfect for Aleya.
